What a way to close out what is possibly the greatest trilogy of all time. In Peter Jacksons last take on Tolkien's larger than life Lord Of The Rings novel. He somehow manages to create an even better film than it's predecessors; in a movie that revolutionized the film industry. The CGI and effects in this film are simply superb. Yes, it does still have some "strange" moments with certain CGI pieces, yet this movie was released in 2003! Compared to the movies of this time; this film definitely flourishes. Aside from the brilliant effects; this film's storytelling is just mesmerizing. In this 3-hour epic we get to see all our favorite heroes prepare for the gritty last stages of this war. It is helped along by the great acting. As the main cast give brilliant performances again; while the supporting characters give stupendous performance( as they do have a lot of time to be portrayed). Not to mention the great action sequences in this final bout between Good and evil on Middle Earth. We get to see some absolutely mind blowing shots and sequences in this film. This film is simply amazing. From the prop and costume design to the dialogue. It's often cited that the ending of the film is too long, and could've ended numerous times. However every single scene brings a tear to my eye; no matter how many times I've seen it. Not since Star Wars has a film trilogy captivated audiences, and I doubt we will seen anything like it soon. Simply wonderful film; that bows to no one.
