  WHAT I LIKED: '10 Things I Hate About You' is actually a lot of fun because it doesn't take itself too seriously and it almost goes so far down the comedy route that it feels more like a satire of itself. Yes whilst some of the characters and stories it builds are occasionally investing, most of all this is a film that makes you smile and cringe with its over-the-top humour and its ridiculous cliches.
  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It's hardly a subtle or graceful film as having the satirical comedy shoved down your throat makes some of the more emotional moments a little hard to swallow.
  VERDICT: '10 Things I Hate About You,' is almost a satire of the very thing that it is, and whilst that's generally appealing, the execution is a little heavy-handed.
