Knives Out pulls on the genre that Rian Johnson knows everybody adores; the murder mystery.

My love for this genre originated in television parodies. Whether that be the infamous ass-crack bandit from Dan Harmon's Community or The Simpson's take on Cluedo, I was swept away by the walking character stereotypes and strangely deadly objects.
Knives Out brought about a similar reaction. It is, as the genre is, a real chocolate-box treat of a film which imitates the same feeling one gets when opening the first box of Lindt chocolates at Christmas.

Yes, there may be a deeper study to be had here, possibly commenting on immigration and segregation in America today, but I found myself beaming to much to reflect. A film truly for everyone, which is the finest achievement a filmmaker can achieve.
