Don't Look Now is strange, jarring, and mysterious with emphasis on the mist. Autumnal Venice provides a time-locked setting for a story that is far from linear. While to some this film could be unsettling in the worst ways, Don't Look Now was is, in actuality, unsettling in all the best ways. Flashes of the past torment the viewer while every inhabitant of Venice seems to be against Sutherland's John Baxter, an American outsider in our world's version of Atlantis.

All the while, every corner, and every balcony suggest that a little girl in a red coat could be lurking inside; a fleeting memory that one must try to ignore. Don't Look Now is a seminal piece of horror that evokes The Wickerman and The Shining.
