This film is absolutely amazing. The intensity Damien Chazelle manages to conjure up; is far different from the sweetness and hope we experienced in La La Land. Because unlike La La Land this movie is pure,raw and simply brutal. The music is absolutely fantastic, and the attention to it is beyond my understanding. The characters are superb. Notably J.K Simmons' approach as an intense, ruthless, perfectionist instructor is simply frighteningly brilliant; leaving me nervous and worried every time he's on screen. This movie was one of the best in a very competitive year. It's raw,honest and simply superb. Surpassed my expectations and some. Well worth a watch!1 member likes this review.
