  • Ever since 1973 when you see a variation of the word “exorcist” in a movie title, it merits an eye roll. The premise has been done to death and a PG-13 rated exorcism film is guaranteed to disappoint. Except, in this one singular case, that wasn’t true. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a captivating court drama recounting the events of its title. There are flashbacks to the event in question and Jennifer Carpenter’s possessed Emily Rose rivals that of Linda Blair’s Regan 30 years prior. This film is definitely worth a watch and I can guarantee, even with the PG-13 rating, there are parts that you will find genuinely disturbing.
