  WHAT I LIKED: 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,' is a film all about building world, and on that front it most definitely succeeds as an all-consuming atmosphere and fantastical timely setting are built perfectly by the score, set-design and visual/special effects. Inhabiting this is a number of characters who are portrayed rather well, and the result is often quietly enjoyable and always fairly charming.
  WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Having said that, it's not really a film about story or character arcs, and that stops it from becoming particularly engaging or emotionally investing overall.
  VERDICT: An all-consuming world and atmosphere are set-up very well here, now all this franchise needs is a great story to inhabit it to properly test these great character portrayals.
