  • WHAT I LIKED: Where the ridiculously titled 'Twilight Saga: New Moon,' works best is when it's delving into its characters like it did in the first one, as that's where the adolescent angst comes from and it's where the film engages most. This venture in particular gives more time to Kristen Stewart's character which is interesting (though without Robert Pattinson on screen so much it's not quite as captivating) and leans further into the goofy approach and the interesting mythology that was started in the first one.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It is definitely a film that is far more concerned with the plot and the mythology than the first, and that often leaves the engaging character stuff behind.
VERDICT: Another appealingly goofy film from this franchise, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon,' may not be as character-focused and engaging as its predecessor, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't rather like it still.
