  • WHAT I LIKED: Alan J. Pakula's 'All the President's Men,' is the definitive journalistic thriller, telling the story of one of the most infamous investigations of all time in a thoroughly engaging and exciting way. Forget the spy-thrillers and action movies, all the edge-of-your-seat tension you'll ever need is right here, and that's largely because everything is just delivered with such urgency - from the dialogue to the editing, to Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman's performances. It's a movie with phone call after phone call and question after question that never gives up the chase for one second, and as a result it will have you constantly on the edge of your seat whether you know the outcome or not.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Its non-stop nature does mean the characters and plot don't get all the development they need for you to truly understand them.

VERDICT: A high-octane non-stop ride on the edge of your seat from its start to its finish, 'All the President's Men,' is the definitive journalistic thriller, and is a thoroughly gripping movie whether you know its outcome or not.
