With some fantastic performances, notably from a young, first-seen Edward Norton, Primal Fear is thrilling and surprisingly violent. While it isn't as fearsome as the title suggests, it's twisted ending certainly is. Perhaps a unique visual flair could have elevated this film from very good legal drama to memorable legal drama.
