  This was one of my most anticipated films of 2016 as I am a HUGE fan of the western genre. This film didn't necessarily live up to the hype for me, but it was still a great time at the movies. The cast gives good performances, even if some of the characters are cliché, the stand outs in my opinion are Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke. The action is awesome and filled me with an emmense amount of joy, it's just something about western shootouts that gets me. But the film feels overlong, and often times had me checking my watch. And the action scenes are few and far between. I give The Magnificent Seven a fitting 7/10.
