  • WHAT I LIKED: The real marvel of 'Catch me if you Can' is most definitely its story, as the sheer madness of what is supposedly truth is enough to boggle the mind. Of course with that in place it would be very easy to let its engagement slip, but naturally Spielberg - as well as Leonardo DiCaprio - steer it all with the right level of emotional investigation and overlying silliness to make you care, without making you cringe.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: There's no getting away from the fact it's plotty by nature, and lacks a real emotional punch.
VERDICT: A mad story and solid direction guide this film to a solid and occasionally gripping rollercoaster. Its story prevents it from going any further though, and you can't help thinking that this trio of talent would have been better placed elsewhere.
