  • WHAT I LIKED: Disney's 'Dumbo' is the simplest, loveliest little animation. It's the story of a young, outcast elephant at the circus who learns that he can fly to defy the bullies around him, and whilst that's literally all there is to it, it's absolutely engineered to bring joy to the heart and to tug at its strings as its message about difference being ok plays out.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Whist joyous, many of the songs do arguably serve to detract from the real heart.
VERDICT: A simple but timeless little animation from Disney about how it's ok to be different, 'Dumbo' may not be the most incredible film in the world, but it certainly works its magic.
