A sincerely wonderful film as Streetcar Named Desire ranks upon the pinnacle of film for this decade. Vivien leigh is absolutely fantastic, playing a character that slowly unravels and switches through emotions rapidly. Few oscar wins have been more deserving. Speaking of oscars, few performances have been so infuriating for being snubbed then Marlon Brando's performance here. In his breakout role, Brando is superb as he shows his range and incredible acting chops, in a performance only he could've pulled off. It would be extremely unfair not to mention Kim Hunter and Karl Malden in this film, as they both give great performances that even earned the former an oscar win. Brilliant film, and worth numerous views.
