It's just like I remember it

6 Months later, going back to the theater (masked, hand-sanitized and gloved, of course), buzzing with joy about sitting in a Theater, waiting for the lights to go down, and let the booming, cacophonic sounds of Nolan's latest making me underestimate how I imagined going back to the theater would feel like - tears were shed for better and worse.

But also feeling some sense of perplexity towards it, since "Tenet", while being the great cinematic definition of a Mirror, also turned out to be....I don't know, a bit simpler than I thought?

It may be the help of a few rewatches of Nolan's filmography, but I just found this romp to be (structurally speaking) way more cohesive than I thought, which is weird given that (besides the anticipations of the concept of "Inversion" melting your minds) Nolan usually tends to make sure that even the smallest of moments have the biggest chunks of exposition (then again, let's see if I'll remember this movie in, say, a week) - but it was also sorta worth it for another attempt (15 Years later!) at trying to make another "Animated Movie plot sneaking into a serious Action plot" (with The Protagonist going on a daring journey of "understanding Tenet", which ends in, honestly, an adorable way - that was some Pixar level shit going on there).

Outside of that, there's really not much to talk about for big issues (except a small-ish thing abut few scenes trying to have a Spielbergian-style reveal, but it ends in such a cheap-ass way), since the rest of the movie is, essentially, a package of many things in one - great ensemble (especially Kenneth Branagh, who almost gave an A+ Villain performance if it wasn't for small Spoilery reasons), outstanding Action scenes (Airplane wonders that made me cry because "The Power Of Cinema", car chases, and ADHD "Saving Private Ryan" - don't ask), and of course, the Sound Mix, another perplexing part of the movie.

While I can see why someone would get mad at it, I'm just questioning how someone would get mad for such a Mix, since when I saw "Dunkirk" in the IMAX, it was the same cacophonic Mix as "Tenet" (and maybe it's just me loving Audio to a half. I would want to say "yeah, I think that's a Nolan thing. Taking full advantage of the IMAX Speakers?", but even I was somewhat annoyed for 20% of the movie's Sound - otherwise, an all-around faaahn product)

So yeah - that's "Tenet"! An almost perfect, gorgeous looking/sounding Mirror (that happens to be blocked by the little things) that surprised me in the opposite way - seek it on the biggest screen possible if you haven't already.
