A film which owes a debt to Winding Refn's Drive, Blue Ruin is a tense thriller which has a fantastic performance from Macon Blair at its centre.
We watch as our protagonist steps back in time, opening wounds that have long been inflicted and making new ones. Dwight falls into a cycle of violence which he wants to end so desperately, but in an unforgiving world, is there a place for a pacifist?1 member likes this review.
