In a recent age of clichéd, by the numbers horror films. One film comes along every year that is scary, original, and doesn't rely solely on shaky cam and jumpscares. And that film is Don't Breathe. I went into Don't Breathe with very low expectations, and I was completely blown the fuck away by this film. Stephen Lang gives his best performance to date as the blind, war vet. And the character himself is amazing. Dylan Minnette is also very good, he was great in Prisoners, although he didn't have many scenes. Jane Levy is great as well. This film is scary as HELL! And it does so without relying on “fake scares” and stuff like that. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire run time. Ladies and gentlemen, in the end, Don't Breathe is one of the best horror movies I've seen in awhile and definitely one of the best films this year. I give Don't Breathe a 9/10.1 member likes this review.
