  I really appreciated this nuanced, quiet, almost bumbling character Denzel Washington created; it is different from his usual roles. There's a lot vulnerabilities here and certainly a three hundred and sixty degree directing turn for Dan Gilroy, after the kinetic, underrated Nighcrawler.
