American Honey is a film I really enjoyed. It is a simple yet graphic coming of age story about a group of delinquent teens and twenty somethings traveling through middle America trying to scam people into buying magazine subscriptions. The film is very well acted by all, but especially the two leads, Sasha Lane and Shia LaBeouf. I know for many, the biggest issue with this film is the 2h 43m runtime. While this is a long film, I found that it was able to hold my attention for the full runtime. For me, the biggest issue I had with this film was Jake's (played by LaBeouf) terrible ponytail! Haha, it isn't really a complaint, but man was it bad! I give American Honey an 8 out of 10.0 member like this review.
