This satire just didn't land for me. The comedy didn't land at all, or at least rarely, for me. Looking at other reviews, I think this may have just been me but I found it to be too sour. Especially in relation to the story itself which is so depressing. Matthew Broderick's storyline is not even cringe-inducing but just desperate. In other places, the film resorts to stereotyping while shunting aside Tammy (Jessica Campbell), the film's most interesting character.
