  • This is an interesting one, as it’s a found footage movie, but not a horror film. I can tell you now that this is one of my favorite or my favorite found footage movies. This movie is so great on so many levels. My favorite thing about this movie is amazingly the found footage part of the movie. This is one of the only films that actually have a reason to shoot everything. The movie was also shot very well. It wasn’t really shaky, and you can usually see everything in the shot. The effects in this movie were also pretty good for the budget. They had a lot to do with a very small budget, and the effect where great. I also liked that this movie was putting an interesting spin on the superhero genre. I really enjoyed that they also basically turn into superheros by the end. The third act of this movie was insane. Shits just going everywhere and people are flying all over the fucking place. I really liked the characters in this movie. There was always something intriguing about the three friends. For cons, I thought that the censored or watered down things for the film to get a PG-13 rating, but it also is very extreme for that rating. Overall, Chronicle is definitely the better movie from Josh Trank, the director of Fant4stic.
