  Man this movie could had potential 
But instead a waste of time sequel/prequel 
Doesn't ever mentions what happend in the last 2 flims . The beginning of the flim makes no sense it's the airplane scene we're everyone dies just because of 1 or 2 people seen the flim apparently sarmara doesn't care . The idea is about college students and there professor learning about the tapes and watching it's all the time and making copies and for that person to show the next person which would be a never ending cycle . The main characters are dull and uninteresting just two good looking actors who really don't show that much emotion into the flim. The professor is the most intresting because he is played by Johnny galecki of Rosanne and the Big Bang theory and had a role in the horror I know what you did last summer ,he has best dialogue to work with but also Vincent d'onario is okay in his role as the blind man with advice ( also can fight) the story is boring and it doesn't follow on the ideas it gives to us and just goes on another what happend Samura and even then it's doesn't give us an answer except an ending that's supposed to shock but it's not worth what you just watched . This had a 25 million dollar budget and only made 13 opening weekend ! How does this look like 25 million ? I don't know either and because of this turd paramount has cancelled the Friday the 13th reboot and those rights will go back to new line in 2008. Fuck you Rings 
  
  This one of the worst flims of the year For me anyway , it's boring ,uninteresting,main characters are dull and not that smart epspecially when they took class for deadly tapes . Just skip this garbage
