Not gonna lie, THE CONJURING 2 had many moments when I had to squint because I was afraid of what was going to appear on screen. This is coming from a horror fanatic who can't remember the last time any horror movie gave him the chills.

James Wan does a great job at setting up the scenes and the viewer immediately knows he/she doesn't want to go into that room with that particular character on screen. You're like, "Nope! Don't go in there!" But you do anyway because Wan will grab you by the hand and drag you into that dark room.

I will say, however, that the third act fell a bit flat and made me want to give it the score I did as opposed to a solid 8 or perhaps a 9. Though this may be the case, I still think this worthy sequel is definitely a horror flick you should check out. Especially for the scene that involves a nun, a painting, and Lorraine Warren. No spoilers. I promise.

By the way, when did Marilyn Manson start acting in horror films? You'll get what I mean when that scene comes up. I wont give away any more.
