  • To be truly honest, I went into this movie with extremely low expectations. I totally expected to shit on this movie, since I hated this trailer, but I was actually surprised by this movie. I think this is definitely the best Kevin Hart movie, but that really isn't saying much. I think the strongest thing about this movie was the story, which was suprisingly complex, and pretty interesting. It also has a mystery element where you need to figure out who said what and who to believe, which kept the movie intreageing. I also thought that the jokes mostly landed in the film, and some really hit. The action in the film was filmed pretty well. The stunt work was really good and there wasn't any shakey cam or quick cuts. Now, I do have some major cons with the movie. The worst part about this film was definitely Dwayne Johnson. He basically was just acting like a gigantic manchild, and it was super annoying. He was speaking like a 16 year old spoiled girl. Kevin Hart was just Kevin Hart again, screaming all the time. it seemed like one of the only things he said throughout was "oh shit!" The movie also got overly serious in the second half. The jokes stopped and everyone started to act like this was a serious spy movie, except for the rock, who was still acting like a giant manchild. Overall, if you were looking foreword to this, you'll like it, and if you weren't, you can find enjoyment out of it.
