  • WHAT I LIKED: On the one hand, 'The Death of Stalin,' is easily the funniest film of the year, as it's genuinely laugh-a-minute stuff that combines smart political satire and slapstick humour with brilliant confidence and ease. The script and each and every masterful performance will likely have you in stitches, but the darker undertones and the serious subject matter equally amount to a very sinister film that genuinely brings an element of horror to the laughs and paints this historical picture in the perfect way.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Perhaps the joke gets a little old as the story develops...
VERDICT: A film like nothing else in the cinema this year, 'The Death of Stalin,' is a hilarious and horrifying comedy that will have you in stitches as much as it has you wincing on the edge of your seat. What a great piece of work.
