Sequinned with some comic moments and a performance from Meryl Streep which is undeniably perfect, the film is fun but flawed. Falling into genre tropes holds back this satire from standing among the greats, that being American Psycho, Dr Strange love and, for some, Election. Then again, it does have Stanley Tucci in it and I love Stanley Tucci so, swings and roundabouts!1 member likes this review.
