  When the movie was over, I thought it wasn't that bad, not that good, but not bad. After thinking about it for two days, I've realized how bad this movie truly is. The only pluses to the film I could think of are that when stuff gets destroyed, it's pretty cool, and Jeff Goldblum was pretty good. I couldn't find anything else. The CGI is pretty bad. The CGI in Independence Day was usually better then the stuff in this movie. The movie is overly serious, which is something no one wanted from this film. All of the proformances outside of Goldblum where pretty bad, sadly including Maika Monroe, who I really want to get better roles then this. overall, Independence Day Resurgence feels like a generic science fiction film that pales in comparison to the first film.
