The Lobster (2016) is one of those rare films that is incredibly weird, but also quite enjoyable. I give the writers credit for the creativity that went into the story. This is a very well-acted film, and I feel Colin Farrell deserves a best actor nomination for his portrait of David. Aside from the exceptional acting, my favorite part of the movie was the time the characters spent inside the hotel exploring the quirky and strange inner workings of the facility. I wish they would have spent a bit more time with the hotel as I felt the film started to fall apart a little once things moved beyond the hotel. While this film is especially strange and quirky, I did enjoy it, so I am going to give The Lobster (2016) a 7 out of 10.
