I went into this one looking for a good movie, and coming out of my screening, I know I found a great on. Just to start with pros, the cinimotography and special effects both are great, and blend together to create some gorgeous visuals. All of the effects were some of the years best, and the cinimotography is some of the years best. The proformance from Amy Adams was fantastic, which isn't suprising, since she is an amazing actress. The story itself is very intricate, and requires you to really think about what is happening on screen. It really challenges you and what you would do in this situation, which is what film should more ofton. It also brings up the fact that language is very important, and it doesn't hammer it in like an environmental film. The third act throws a lot of curveballs at you, and definitely changes your prospective on the film you've just watched. This movie felt suprisingly realistic, as I could see many of the things portrayed in the film happening in real life if a UFO did show up. I was also just sucked into everything that was happening, and the film Just didn't let go, even know the pacing of this movie is pretty slow. As for cons, as I just said, the pacing was pretty slow at times, and there could have been more suspense in many scenes. I also felt that Jeremy Renner's proformance was lacking in many scenes. There was also this one thing that happened (which I'm not even having the thought of spoiling) that felt cartoonish and took me out of the movie. Overall, Arrival is a great film, and one that all of your guys should go out and see.
