A wholly original and masterfully crafted story about a guy writing a screenplay, that eventually becomes story we see unfolding on-screen. Nicolas Cage's performance as Charlie Kaufman is an all-timer, Meryl Streep's is intense and nuanced as usual, but its Chris Cooper who steals the show here, with his turn as caged recluse John Laroche, magnifying his idiosyncrasies and digging in deep to find the character's heart. Kaufman's script is next level amazing, and Spike Jonze adds another great entry to his film arsenal, Adaptation is a magnificent film.0 member like this review.
