  The Platform is a gory, hellish film with an obvious message; this isn't a detriment per say as the film seems to be aware of it.
  
  The film's strongest asset is in director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia's word building. Despite being a world of infinite reflections of the same dingy cell, Urrutia manages to build upon this world with ease, making for a brilliant premise to hold his message.
  
  While the social allegory is evident, it only touches on bigger question which doesn't add up with the film's punchy, gory aesthetic. This is no Snowpiercer. However, it definitely holds the same entertainment value, something which is a proud achievement.
