  • WHAT I LIKED: It's no secret that 'Twilight,' gets a lot of stick from movie-fans, but frankly I have to say that I largely find this series rather entertaining as its adolescent character relationships are engaging and its goofy approach to the angst and horror gives it all real B-movie charm. The first film is definitely the best example of this too, as Robert Pattinson in particular as well as Kristen Stewart both deliver top performances and the script crucially allows time for their romance to build in an intriguing and mysterious way that will have the un-devoted members of the audience (myself included) hooked to see what happens, and the fan-base thoroughly satisfied too.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It sure is goofy, and the third act definitely descends into weightless action territory and looses much of the previous character-focused charm.

VERDICT: An underrated teen-movie with goofy B-movie charm, 'Twilight,' shouldn't be taken too seriously, but as far as I'm concerned it is actually a rather engaging character study at its core.
