Olympic Pride, American Prejudice is a documentary that examines the complex racial politics of the 1936 Summer Games in Navi Germany. The documentary takes on a very important subject matter, but unfortunately it just isn't a very good film. Olympic Pride, American Prejudice does a great job highlighting many of the lesser known African-American athletes that participated in the games and I was impressed with the amount of archive footage the film was able to present. It fails because of some very slow pacing and an overuse of interview footage filmed for the documentary. A gentleman behind me started snoring about 20 minutes into the film. I give Olympic Pride, American Prejudice a 5 out of 10.
