Daniel Craig's third outing as Bond far surpassed my modest expectations. The unresolved business from Quantum of Solace is left for another day as director Sam Mendes crafts a stylish new adventure filled with breathtaking locales, and driven by superb dramatic performances.
The additions of Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, and Naomie Harris make this possibly the best cast in Bond history. These performers--particularly Craig, Bardem, and Dench--have incredible chemistry together; I can't take my eyes off the screen when these actors get cooking.
Scene by scene, act by act, Skyfall thrills the eye, and engages the imagination. I'm not sure if it reaches the heights of Casino Royale, but it's damn close. One of the best this franchise has to offer.2 member like this review.
