'Never Rarely Sometimes Always' revels in visual potency, submerging its frames in grainy textures and lightly saturated colors in order to deliver a slice of life experience decidedly indigenous to the art form of Film. The performances feel like exhibits in glass casing, the direction feels prescient and personal, and the screenplay is accurately reserved; all of these elements amount to an unfiltered examination of the plight of a woman - viewed through pregnancy, the source of life itself.2 member like this review.
