Booksmart revolutionizes the teen comedy genre for this generation. Kaitlyn Dever's vulnerability and humour work in spectacularly in tandem to deliver one of my favorite performances in recent memory. Beanie Feldstein's performance is the cornerstone, and its refreshing to see her diversify her talents in a role this domineering. Olivia Wilde's direction is pitch perfect, utilizing masterful film techniques one would usually employ in a drama film, but adding her own comedic flair to it. Booksmart is the best movie of the year so far, engaging in potent themes, boasting fantastic performance and coincidentally being laugh out loud hilarious.0 member like this review.
