  Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of the Aliens franchise and Alien and Aliens are some of my favorites of all time. Prometheus is different animal. It's very ambious and I believe it starts lots of threads that it doesn't end. The imageryis beautiful and all the tech is very cool. I find the characters shallow and uninteresting. Even in a film like Aliens where there are much more characters I felt a more personal connection and they felt more human. They interacted and were friends. The characters in Pormetheus are not friends and have no chemistry. A arguement could be made that this is the point but you never get invested in any of the characters to begin with. Lots of unanswered question. I don't mean to sound like I hate the film, I love Scott's vision and attempts here, just didn't hit me the way the others did.
