This was a really weird prequel to Captain Marvel. I'm glad to know that Brie Larson grew up after her hallucinogenic event and went on to fly jets and become a total badass. My theory is that Samuel L. Jackson is her guardian angel.
In reality, it was good acting. I laughed at a couple of places. However, I'm still sorting through the metaphors for childhood, trauma, mental illness, unfulfilled promises, creativity, sexuality, and art. This is saying a lot, but I'm not sure if any of it is coherent.1 member likes this review.
