  • It's the epic brawl that has divided legions of comic book fans for almost ten years. It's the showdown that we have all been looking forward in preparation for Infinity War. Now, say what you will about The Russo Brothers' espionage-ish take on "The Winter Soldier", but "Civil War" has more than that to offer.

This time, the Avengers are divided between two opposing teams. In one corner, there is Steve Rogers (Evans) and in the other corner, there is Tony Stark (Downey Jr.). By this, mayhem occurs. And by that, Civil War is definitely one of the MCU's best.

While it certainly does not feel like a superhero movie, Civil War is a groundbreaking technique to take the comic book genre into a high new level. It's an exhilarating ride filled with astounding action in every scene and cleverly flesh out characters with rich emotions and motivational arcs.

Of course there is funny dialogue and humor brought by selected characters, but it never overshadows the dark themes of revenge, politics, friendship and betrayal. Lastly, this movie introduces new heroes Spider-Man and Black Panther to the Marvel Universe with enough story arc and cool screen presence.

VERDICT: Captain America: Civil War definitely explains why we must look forward to the much anticipated Infinity War movie. So Warner Brothers, you should start taking notes.
