Predictable, but fun. This is the romantic comedy version of 'Project Almanac.' While it shares similarities with 'Groundhog Day' or 'Edge of Tomorrow,' it also has a flavor of 'The Butterfly Effect.'
If you're looking for deep, you'll be disappointed. If you want fun and endearing, then this is a good watch. Adam Devine is a loveable guy and we root for him. Alexandra Daddario is also very loveable and they're both just genuinely nice people who click really nicely, but don't end up together romantically.
This outcome begins the circular "what if" journey in which Devine's character embarks.
If you're mildly paying attention, you'll guess the outcome halfway in, but it's so cute and fun that you don't mind. This is a great weekend afternoon flick to put on and watch if you're in a fun mood or are going to be surfing on your phone at the same time. You don't have to be fully invested in every detail to enjoy it.
