  A fitting finale to an epic trilogy, The Dark Knight rises raises the scale, the hype, the stakes and most importantly the action. Where the film excels is in its performances and non-linear characters, for example Tom Hardy as Bane, an incredibly intelligent, and physically domineering omnipresent threat, whose motivations are well justified, and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, a thief wishing for a way out of this life of hers; together with some pretty solid dialogue, all the actors and actresses bring this sweeping saga to a beautiful end. Where the movie falls is in its evident plot holes, unreality, and some cheesy plot-lines; otherwise, the dark knight rises is a wonderful way to cap off perhaps one of the greatest trilogies of all time.
