  • WHAT I LIKED: If the first film was about Robert Pattinson's Edward and the second was about Jacob, then 'Eclipse,' is the film in which the love triangle comes together and the continuously mysterious and angst-ridden choice between the lifes that come with Bella's respective love interests becomes the central conflict. This means it tackles what the saga has been building rather head-on, and director David Slade is clearly capable there as he makes the dilemma seem real, engaging and genuinely gratifying for those - such as myself - who have enjoyed this film saga from the beginning.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It is definitely a less mysterious venture overall as Slade puts all the cards on the table and the overall story is developed up to a point where it doesn't need to toy with the intrigue of the two central characters any more.
VERDICT: More romance than mystery, 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,' is another underrated and engaging venture from this series, even if it's great for slightly different reasons.
