  • After a year since Nemo has been found, the forgetful fish Dory embarks on her own journey to find herself leading to her missing parents. But trouble ensues when she finds herself caught in the Marine Life Sanctuary in California. We see some of the old cast members reprising their roles with a handful of new supporting characters.

Fortunately, Pixar Studios has figured out the reason to bring back Dory by centering the plot around her identity and origins. She is also accompanied with adorable and charming supporting characters that makes the movie a joy to watch. Still, Ellen DeGeneres perfectly melds her exact personality to the voice of Dory, while Alexander Gould and Albert Brooks return as Nemo and Marlin, respectively.

The film, just like its main protagonist is a package of buoyancy and enthusiasm. It is filled with signs of overflowing hope, cheerfulness and optimism, which maintains the bundle of positivity all-throughout. And while the script tends to be fast and repetitive, some of the children viewers may not easily digest the flow of the story.

VERDICT: Dory continues to keep swimming with charming and adorable supporting characters who are a joy to watch.
