Yesterday, I went to see Avengers: Endgame. I was really, really looking forward to seeing it. I ordered my tickets two weeks in advance and skipped a class at school to go see it. Was it worth it? AB-SO-LUTELY! Because I obviously don’t want to spoil anything, this will be a spoiler-free Endgame review.

Marvel has been making these superhero movies since 2008. Over ten years of MCU movies, come together in this movie. It feels like a final chapter. The conclusion to years and years of superheroes.

Let’s start off with a little summary of Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos was searching for all six infinity stones. When he got them all after a long search, he snapped his fingers and wiped out half the universe. “Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.” Endgame is the closing chapter of all this.

So, story-wise Endgame has a really good plot, with a lot of surprises. A LOT of surprises. The Russo brothers really did their best making this an end worth waiting for. A lot of questions will be answered, a lot of drama, action and comedy is in it.

Character-wise I can’t tell you that much. All the people in it, we’ve seen before somewhere. No big surprises in this. People grew up, people made hard decisions, people made stupid decisions. (I still haven’t forgiven Star-Lord for his big mistake in Infinity War tbh)

Most of the time, I don’t even listen to music on the background in movies. I did while watching this movie. The score is epic, the right music at the right time. It makes the entire experience even more immersive.

I laughed, I cried, I got goosebumps, I got scared. All emotions went through me watching this movie. Not only through me though, the theater cheered and applauded. The entire theater went silent at the end. If I had to choose five adjectives to describe this movie, I would say legendary, surprising, clever, fascinating and breathtaking. And these words don’t even do justice to the movie itself. It really, really, really is worth going to the cinema for. Maybe even multiple times.

To conclude: Just go see Avengers: Endgame. It the best Marvel movie thus far. I don’t give out 10’s easily and I don’t do decimals. If I did, I would probably give it more than a 9
