  • If a wedding is the time for couples to be tied with the extraordinary energy of love, it is also the time for brothers to bring utter mayhem. "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" follows the story of our low-profiled titular characters as they bring wedding dates to their sister's wedding. But what starts out as a nice family gathering, soon turns to a disaster.

Sure, it’s a derivative material. Sure, it’s another "Wedding Crashers". But Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates knows exactly what it is setting out to do - a mindless bro-medy filled with dirty sex jokes and wedding-crashing antics, which are sporadically effective and over-the-top foolish.

For the acting, Zac Efron and Adam DeVine's testosterone-driven chemistry is strongly sold, thanks to the help of Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza's sex appeal. However, our four central characters are essentially playing the same type of person - drunk, crazy and trouble-centered, which is the movie's irreparable and glaring problem.

VERDICT: To see our insane and troublemaking aficionados is the biggest selling point of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, which is also its biggest flaw.
