Hearts of Darkness is a reminder of life's undeniable decider. Darkness and horror are forever present and will determine how we live our lives physically and mentally.

While Hearts Of Darkness reminds us of this, it fails to appreciate the beauty of this hellish ephiany, unlike the film itself. It is clear when watching Apocalypse Now that drugs, weather conditions and many other diasters played a part in the film's making; they are essential to its success. So, to highlight them detracts from the film's ethos.

A documentary which raises on eyebrow but never drops a jaw.
