Temple of Doom stands as a very worthy, and satisfying sequel in this iconic franchise. It does offer a darker tone than the it's prequel, as the film delves into more creepy and frightening aspects. However it still stands by the great action adventure theme, with extremely fun and lovable moments to go round. The film adds an almost whole new host of entertaining characters, that are perhaps even more enjoyable than those in Raiders, as characters like short round and Willie add significantly to more great comedic moments, and add even more depth and excitement to the adventurous theme of the movie. Raiders of the Lost Ark is definitely the crown jewel of the franchise, however I find Temple of Doom to be my most loved and slightly most cherished film from this trilogy (yes, trilogy).
