I had hoped for better, but unfortunatly, Indignation was just an OK film. It does have 3 big things going for it. First, is Logan Lerman's performance as Marcus Messner. He was absolutely incredible and one of my favorite performances of the year. Second, is an extremely powerful conversation driven scene that runs 18 minutes long! This scene is an argument between Lerman's Marcus and the dean of his school who is played by Tracy Letts. It might sound like a boring scene but it was one of the most powerful conversation driven scenes I have seen in recent years. Third, is the films excellent score by Jay Wadley.

The movie does have some flaws, the biggest of which revolved around a couple of editing issues that left me confused and lost at a few different points during the slightly weird story. I give Indignation (2016) a 7 out of 10.
