works as a sequel and reboot of sorts. Oh yes there will be blood, Jigsaw like it's previous film's delivers plenty of blood and gore to keep horror fans happy. Going into this my expectations weren't very high. I'm a huge fan of this series but my expectations weren't really high. This new film is better than those dreadful sequels so that was a relief. This captures the spirit of the first 3 films and there is some fun to be had. Some effort was put forth in the traps while also keeping it simple and realistic. The story overall is intriguing and I was invested in how it would all play out. There is never a dull moment in Jigsaw but there are certainly some cheesiness in its scenes and some of the dialogue was a bit cringe worthy. The build up to the end is enjoyable but a bit disappointed with the film's twist. I was okay with the ending but I don't think the movies twist is as clever as it thinks it is. All in all Jigsaw is worth a watch if you love the series. I'll give it a 6 out of 10. Out of all the movies this falls somewhere in the middle.
