  • WHAT I LIKED: What mostly keeps this film alive is undoubtedly the chemistry between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as both of these massive stars deliver sparky performances with bags of whit, style and smiles. To go with that is Doug Liman's typically frantic style and his usual focus on a little something below the surface, and all in all it's certainly a passably enjoyable summer blockbuster.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: At the same time however, whilst the premise is ok, the story itself lacks legs, and as a result it's about two big action sequences too long and lacking in any sort of lasting resonance.
VERIDCT: Fluffy fun with two great performances at its centre, 'Mr and Mrs Smith,' is fairly entertaining, but its story is weak and it feels massively overlong as a result.
